Rural People’s Platform and their partner, Firelands Workers United / Trabajadores Unidos, are multi-issue organizing groups in rural Washington. They build solidarity and unity through multiracial organizing with white workers and workers of color. With the Rural Climate Partnership, the teams are advancing a place-based, rural strategy to land Inflation Reduction Act “direct-to-consumer” rebates, tax incentives, and “upfront discounts” for home efficiency projects, installation of heat pumps, electric vehicles, and rooftop solar.
