The Rural Beacon Initiative is a BIPOC- and millennial-led NGO that envisions communities in the Southeast at the forefront of a just transition to a clean energy economy and catalyzes this through community relationships, community advocacy, and operationalizing climate solutions. The Rural Climate Partnership is supporting the Initiative to convert Vera Brown Farm in North Carolina into a “sustainability hub” to showcase community-based renewable energy generation (agrovoltaics) and regenerative agriculture practices.
