Prairie Rivers Network (PRN) has been protecting water and land while inspiring change in underserved rural communities in Illinois since 1967. They’ve played a crucial role in the energy transition landscape by aiding the Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition’s implementation of the Future Energy Jobs Act and the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act. PRN’s continued dedication lies in protecting downstate Illinois. With the Rural Climate Partnership’s support, PRN is extending its reach to develop and coordinate leadership in rural electric co-ops, accelerating the clean energy transition while promoting community needs and regional environmental priorities.
