Center for Coalfield Justice

Location: Pennsylvania

Grant Amount: $80,000

The Center for Coalfield Justice (CCJ) is a grassroots organization rooted in the coal country of Western Pennsylvania. CCJ supports rural residents living with the expansion of fossil fuel development by providing education, helping to connect them with others who have similar experiences, and empowering them to advocate for themselves and their communities. With general operating support from the Rural Climate Partnership, CCJ will be able to continue and expand its economic and climate justice advocacy efforts to help communities transition away from a coal-based economy.
